Words can wound, and wounds can heal.
Strange Little Girls is by far, my favourite chapter in Fragile Things. I read it twice, the second time slowly, to get that every snippet is a different girl with a different life. The chapter ended by saying some of the girls, are boys. "The view changes from where you're standing."
Ok, I think I need to read the chapter for the third time. DAMN COOL.

For you a thousand times over.
Going into the list of my favourite books ever:
It's being made into a movie and going to be shown in the States on 2 November 2007. Hope it'll be showing in Singapore. Not as if it matters. As long as there're torrent seeds.
If reading this book can make me tear, I think the movie will make me cry buckets.
The kite runner is the author's first novel. Apparently his second book, "A thousand splendid suns" is even better than his first book. Anyone who has a thousand splendid suns please lend it to me.

The Resurrectionists

This book just keeps me flipping the pages till the end. It's been a while a book can have that kind of effect on me. Can't believe I've let a nice book sit on my bookshelf for a year. It's a steal. $4 at the Times book sale last year.
And if you really think about it, life really is a terminal illness.
