may tomorrow be a perfect day
may you find love and laughter along the way
may god keep you in his tender care
till he brings us together again
till he brings us together again..

GOODNIGHT FRESHMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
splaaaaasssssssssshhhhhhhhh...

shifted back to hall for about a week now. the block's freshmen are pretty good so far. orientation for the freshmen ended last night with a splash. literally. it was fun. the seniors managed to get every freshmen there wet. well done kenny and joey. they had to lie down on the dirty roof in hiding for more than an hour before we sang our usual good night song to the young ones. last night was very special. instead of whispering "goodnight freshmen", we surrounded them as we sang the last stencil of the goodnight song and screamed "goodnight freshmen" at the top of our lungs and water poured on them (and some of us seniors too) from the roof.

i have to mention that i'm really proud of the freshmen. they won the best performance on talent night. on top of that, the best freshie guy and best freshie girl came from block A. darn proud.

really appreciate the seniors help and participation with the programmes this orientation. last night during talent night was the best. obviously block A has the most senior support and i think it made the acer freshies feel good. hopefully this batch turns out to be very on and ra ra.

=) i want to enjoy every minute and second of the last of hall life i've got left. gotta make it a good one.

i always thought my mum was afraid of hamham. cuz she says she doesn't like furry little things and that hamham is a dirty rat. i think it's just an excuse. i thought she was scared of being bitten or something.

but today we all found out the truth. she carried hamham and even stroked its fur.

all for the price of $50.

now i'm $50 poorer.

------

sent my laptop for repair at simlimsquare. hope the guy can do something about it. else, i'll have my cousin to build me a desktop. i managed to persuade the lazy ass. damn proud of myself.

my dear toshiba portege 2000, the damn slim laptop, is dying. i called up toshiba just now, and learned that the fan is connected to the motherboard. i.e. i have to change the whole motherboard, which will cost me $2000 at least, on top and above the $100 toshiba service charge. of course it'll be ridiculous to repair it. i should just get a new laptop, or pc. but where am i going to get the money? i don't know what my parents are going to say.

history of my slim buddy:
my dad has this friend who was declared bankrupt more than 2 years ago, and was in desperate need for money. so he began to sell whatever stuff he had left. my dad suggested that since i was going to uni, and the laptop was only over a year old, and that guy was his friend, plus it was going for below $2000, why not? yar, basically, that's how i came about owning this beautiful thing.

what am i going to do now? school is reopening soon.

this sucks.

spent 198 ringgit on my hair. cut+colour+highlight+treatment. i look fairer now, cuz my hair's brighter. i like it =) sw, eunice and kenny did their hair too. sw has cool brown hair and eunice has pretty red streaks. and kenny has a new hair style! no more centre-parting floppy hair. red streaks too! yea, think we are all happy with our new hair colour. spent almost 5 hours in the salon. poor kenny's hair only took at most 2 hours. but he sure learnt a lot about female matters after reading a stack of female mags. lol. PMS is real!

my laptop's internal fan broke down. going to find out from Toshiba how much it'll cost me to replace/repair it. sad.

"After serious consideration and discussions with the Deans of the Business and Law Schools, the university has decided that the Business School will remain at Kent Ridge, but also have a facility at Bukit Timah in which it can conduct enhancement and enrichment programs that will bring alumni, students and faculty together. Very importantly, the facilities at Kent Ridge for the Business School will be substantially expanded and upgraded with state-of-the-art facilities."

caught Fantastic 4 with weili after my driving lesson. it wasn't fantastic.
2.5/5 coco crunches.

anyway, weili won a Olympus 3.2 mp digicam with a dollar. apparently he was waiting for me to arrive, so he wasted time at the arcade in Century Square. he used a token and played some stacking game or something and he freaking won the prize with his first token. he told me his mum just won 4D too.

when am i going to win the car from NKF?

back to civilization.

was away from the world at the Labrador Adventure Centre (where the old Pasir Panjang Secondary School was. it's quite near NUS.) with slightly over 300 secondary 2 students from Bowen Secondary. i was in charge of 19 kids and they really tire me out. the girls were a wonderful bunch of obedient campers. the boys were just problematic. one fell sick on the first day. the rest were very difficult to control. instructions weren't taken seriously. a couple of them had attitude problem. i scolded 4 boys on the second day in front of 40 kids for being anal. instructions were to return their eating utensils and meet the rest of the group near the field. when everyone else turned up to assemble, the "fantastic 4" were lazing in their bunk. they took their own sweet time and i had to ask a boy to get them out to assemble. fucking pissed.

i really have nothing to say about these boys but they are just plain useless. during navigation games, the girls were the ones doing the topography work. the boys didn't give a heck. what's wrong with 14 year old boys? they couldn't wait to go home. i can't wait for them to enter army.

makes me wonder a lot about my own 14 year old brother.

anyway, belayed for the first time. and it was freaking tiring. my hands hurt from handling the rope. but i think the kids enjoyed themselves. so yar, it was worth it.

so London gets to host the Olympics in 2012.

happiness and joy don't last.

i came home to be updated about news like that. civilization isn't that civilized after all.

peace on earth.

yea i know this is nothing to all the drivers out there. BUT I DROVE AT 60 KM/H TODAY!! (at toa payoh flyover. can't drive at that speed at ubi) for about half a minute lar =) it felt good!! i'm a learner driver lar, so don't laugh at me for being thrilled. learnt directional change today, in a multi storey car park. supposed to do it at an open public carpark but cuz there were too many cars. it was damn exciting going up about 5 storeys. luckily not many cars for me to knock into (not that i've crashed into any). it was even more exiting going down. it's about the most fun/exciting driving lesson man!

Initial D - 3.5/5 coco crunches.
Jay Chou really can't act very well. but i guess he tried. the scene where he cried, i thought he looked more like a dejected boy whose parents can't bring him to the ball game. but he's cute lar. i like his role. kinda suit him. humble and shy.

going to camp tomorrow. think i'm staying at the labrador adventure centre. not sure though. didn't go for the briefing. will be back on thursday. more updates then.

(this font colour is the colour of my new polo tee i bought from the factory outlet store in malacca. nice right!?)

OUT!

4 days of work ended with a bang! we slacked the whole of today, cuz there wasn't work to do. though we still earned 5 hours worth of money. harharhar!

i thought the work wasn't that bad. even though i tend to whine and sigh sometimes, it was tolerable. so either i'm tolerant, or i just don't give a F.

see my previous post? right after i published that post ending with me thanking my lucky stars that i have eunice for company during work, she told me she got banned from going back to the god forsaken place. buuut.. there was summer on the 2nd and today, so it was fine too =) it's fun having summer around. cuz when hatta says perverted things (which he does all the time but i'm so used to it), summer will react negatively and it's just really funny.

so i've earned myself a bit of money, and i'm determined not to spend it too quickly. cuz if you know me, i don't save. the balance in my bank account is always a constant low. that doesn't mean that i spend a lot. i just don't have much to begin with. so whatever i've earned these 4 days shall be kept for rainy days like huge sales. GSS is ending soon. don't have anything that i urgently need to purchase. so i hope this is the beginning of some sort of savings. though i suspect the money will be gone when school reopens for me. cuz that's just so me.

going to work next week again, as a camp facilitator. hope it'll fun.
