You know there's a season for all things. The season of breaking up. The season of finding love. Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. And then there's the season of engagement.
Yizi and Bernard got engaged not too long ago =)
My colleague finally got engaged to her boyfriend of 9 years. He got down on one knee, and she said yes. (Their facebook status - so cute!)
Weeli proposed to Rachel on her birthday =)
Meiyan got engaged too, which I just found out not too long ago from her blog. =) and her flat is almost ready!!
And so I heard of other happy engagements and proposals too, people whom I don't know directly. It's like a disease spreading or something. Got to say it's a harmless one though.
This is a sign of growing old. Getting to the age where the people around you are planning to settle down, balloting for flats, looking for re-sale apartments, checking out wedding and banquet packages yada yada yada.
Still find it amazing how one can decide to settle down with someone else. The prospect of living with someone for the rest of your life, building a family together, growing old together, facing whatever challenges that come your way together, IS actually quite scary. But the certainty that the 2 person feel for each other can be so calming at the same time.
So all the best to all you loving couples out there. May I be attending wedding dinners soon so I can buy onesies for all the kiddos who are waiting to pop out. =)
Blackie, also affectionately known as Pepper, has joined Hamham, Delfi and Cotton in Hamster Heaven. He was a great hamster. Never once bitten me and was a good companian for Cotton. He was a shy one, always running away from my hands whenever I want to carry him out of the cage. RIP.
My tagboard is missing and I don't know why. I didn't touch my blog template at all so I reckon it'll come back soon enough. It's finally the weekend. I realise I'm just counting down everyday for 9pm. Counting down for the weekend to arrive. Counting down... counting down...
