Starlight Cinema

Caught Pirates of the Carribean 2 at Nokia's Starlight Cinema yesterday at the Padang with the WAT peeps. Sweelye got 2 complimentary tickets which admits 4, cuz his friend is selling Evian water there. The weather was good, the movie was nice, our spot was not too bad except that the guy who was sitting in front of me was blocking me a little. We all agreed it was a romantic thing to do, watching a movie on the padang in the evening, except for ZQ who thought it was very normal. Lol. But we all agreed the company was wrong. It was fun anyway! Most importantly, it was free! It costs $15 per person to get in you know. =P

Steamboat@Rooftop =)

We are the Yellow Colour
This is the side of Gerald that I have never seen. He is super domesticated!! He sliced all the meat and even arranged them so neatly in fridge!
Check out the spread. =)
Clarification: Only year 4s and ++ are invited due to space limit.. we anticipated the older seniors would turn up mah. We really don't mean to exclude the year 3s.. hope you all understand ok?

Surprise! Celebrated Jerm's birthday a day in advance. The cake is not from Awfully Chocolate or Bakerz Inn lar. It's from Ginza :$ But it's nice!!

It was tough to get Mr Pageant to take a photo with us.

Eventually he gave in. The guys with Mr Pageant. Still handsome even with that grouchy face.

We waited 4 years to take this picture with Mr Pageant. =)

Our "informal" shot. I like this pic.

Went to send Summer off at the airport after steamboat. She's on the exchange program for a year to study in Birmingham. Hope she'll have tonnes of fun studying and travelling, and hope she'll come home safely in a year's time. =)

photos

Celebrated Sarah's birthday in advance last friday with dominic, jy, agnes, ting. It was a surprise thingy, which Agnes and I love to do for Sarah. We've had a few birthday surprises in secondary school for her. Happy 22nd Sarah! (in advance) I had a great time catching up and reminscing on our school days. Dominic never fails to crack us up. =)

New York New York with the WorkAndTravel (WAT) friends. Pasta was nice, but the chicken needed marinating. What's nice about the place in Citilink is it has a cotton candy machine and it's totally free to make sticks of candy. And I make really ugly ones. It's always fun with the WAT people anyway, so it doesn't matter that the service was kind of screwed up. Oh, we also had to queue for 45 minutes to get a table on a Saturday night. Poooi.

Ju Ju Japanese Hot Pot with ahkow. We met up when I just came back to Singapore. Yea these photos are long overdue. Anyway, Ju Ju is right besides Tao's restaurant at Paradiz centre. Trivia: Ju Ju and Tao's are opened by the same person. Prices are the same in the two restaurants, set dinners are about 27 before taxes. Check out the amount of food we had!! I love the sampan thingy that contained ahkow's raw food. Ju Ju scores a 10 on food presentation, and a 9.5 for taste! The appetizer was some egg thingy with a special sauce. Delicious =P Oh, UOB card gets 10% off total bill.

"Sorry I couldn't help but overhear...."

Haven't been blogging. Haven't been having much to say lately anyway. Been busy with school too.

Yesterday, I was having a project meeting in the snacking/talking/lounging area in central library, and my group was having a discussion about handphones. Then this guy came over and interrupted, "Sorry, I couldn't help but overhear you guys talking about 1G 2G 3G. Actually all these Gs mean..." and he went on to clarify what the Gs were and he was pretty good with his explanation cuz we were pretty confused before that. That was such a nice thing for a stranger to do although we were all pretty stunned.

I mean, usually we won't just go up to 5 strangers and help to clarify their doubts. I wouldn't cuz firstly, it's really none of my business. Secondly, I'll be too embarrassed to do so. What if they think I'm just trying to show off what I know etc etc. But of course, I appreciate what that guy did, and kind of respect him for his courage (for the lack of a better word, but I may be overrating this guy).

4 projects this semester. 100% CA i.e. no exams. Quizes and papers to write. All these mean I cannot slack off or I won't be able to redeem myself cuz half the semester has almost passed. But of course, it's hard to NOT waste time on distractions.

Ok, time to go to school. Can't wait for the weekend to come.

9/11

It's been a few years since the tragedy, and I can still vividly recall watching the twin towers crashing to the ground on BBC while studying for my promo exams.

Peace on earth.

Helplessness

Swee Lye told me to be prepared for the worst. That the parcels we shipped back from the States may get lost cuz apparently, USPS (US postal service) is infamous for losing parcels.

We were told that the parcels will take 4 to 6 weeks to reach Singapore. They were shipped on the 28th of July. So it's the 6th week and still no signs of the parcels.

5 of us sent 3 boxes back. I have almost a full parcel of things that I bought for my siblings, and some stuff for friends. Very worried now. I'm going to be very sad if the parcels don't reach. Sigh.

And we didn't buy insurance for the parcels.

=(

My brother and sister will be damn happy to see the stuff I got them lor. =/ And my old levis is in that parcel too. Argh.
