Our Lady Peace - 4am

Walked around my good intentions
And found out there were none
I blame my father for the wasted years
We hardly talked
Never thought I would forget this hate
And a phone call made me realize I'm wrong

And if I don't make it known that
I loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignored because
We're both dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out whats wrong

Walked around my room not thinking
Sinking in this box
Blame myself for being too much like
Somebody else
I never thought I would just bend this way
Then a phone call made me realize I'm wrong

NMS

I was reading the article on the National Museum of Singapore on CNA's website yesterday and I thought maybe I should visit it some day since it's all newly renovated and I enjoyed the museum trips in the States so much. Besides, it's been a long time since primary school.

And a minute later, almost like telepathy, Aaron msned me if I would like to visit the NMS! The day was so lovely i.e. not rainy, there's no reason why we should not go out. So off we went, with Mr Muscleman to the NMS.

Btw, entrance fee is $5 for students before 6pm for the permanent exhibitions. It's free entry for all after 6pm, but the history gallery would be closed, and you'll only be able to visit the living galleries. Due to a minor screw-up on our part, we paid $5 and DID NOT visit the history gallery.

Can't remember how the old NMS looked like, but after its renovation and the freshly-painted white walls, it feels like a modern colonial building. We visited the 4 living galleries with the impression they were the history gallery. We were issued a paper card each after payment and the card is used for entry to the galleries. It's similar to the EZlink system, just that we swipe the paper card like how cashiers swipe our credit cards (not like I have credit card, but that's not the point) and the gantry opens and off you go.

This is the Kurt Wenner painting on canvas. He drew it with chalk I think. And this picture is taken from the perspective where it becomes 3-D. You probably won't be able to see its beauty from this photo, but if you can make out the buildings in the middle, they're actually the reflection of buildings in the pond. Go see this street-painting while it's still there, or would it be there permanently? I have no idea. It's free to look btw. So, go.

We were in the 'Fashion' Living gallery and Mr Muscleman decided to check out what's underneath those skirts. It's not long after I got informed by the Museum bouncer or curator or guard (seriously, what are those people called?) that photography is not allowed in galleries.

Aaron picking on a shrunken cherry? This is the back of the NMS.

National Mus of Singapore.

Oh Mr Muscleman, won't you flex and move your chest muscle?

There's a time capsule buried in 1984 underneath the round plate I'm looking at. It will be opened in.. erm.. is it 2009?

All in all, NMS is a nice place, and if you're really serious about reading and looking at every single thing on display, you may want to be there when the museum opens. Remember to visit the History gallery first as entry is not permitted after 5.30pm. If you just want to visit the living galleries, go after 6pm. If you've graduated and still want to enter with student rate, just bring your matric card. =)

Oh, don't forget the 5mp camera, or the SLR. Just don't take photos in the galleries.

it's alive!!

After taking a forced vacation away from the internet due to some screw-up all thanks to my dearest brother, I AM BACK!

Duh.

I was so bored. We were so bored. Siblings and I didn't fight to use the computer, but we fought over the damn TV remote control.

And after almost a week, I still don't have things to blog about.

Bye. See you all online!!

Muahahahaha. =)

All the best for your op and hope your shoulder recover real soon!!

Post of an envious sister

The house is not quiet anymore! Here are some pictures they took from S. Korea.

The snowman on the right has one eyebrow. Look damn cheeky. Like this picture a lot.
Snow falling on 2 lucky kids. Yea, I'm envious.
The Presidential Residence.
The (rebuilt) Royal Palace.
Doryong Waterfall. DAMN NICE.
Ma Er (literal translation: horse ear) Mountain.
Woohoo, this is the korean version of PKD's tomb raider!

Filming location of Winter Sonata. The one starring Bae Yong Jun. I think.

So the only comfort for me not going is that they didn't really enjoy the holiday. LOL. My mum complained all the way from the airport to home about the temperature, the cost of living, the useless son she has, blah blah blah. But then, they saw falling snow! And I've only seen snow on the freaking ground.
Oh, my mum told me that some high school girl looked at my brother and said "ni hao mah?" but he just walked past. Apparently he didn't hear anything. They spoke mandarin leh, just so my brother could understand. Stupid boy, don't know act shy or what. But then, he does look like a korean. Small eyes, white teeth, sharp nose. BUT tanned. Haha.

------------------------------------------------------------
Been laughing a lot (laughing is good) when I'm with *cough*. It feels good to be happy. =)

The birds are waking up.

This is bad. I've screwed up my body clock. It's 5.30 am and I can't fall asleep after tossing and turning on the bed for half an hour. Yea I know, I know, I brought this upon myself.

I tried to get back to normal sleeping hours last night. I went to bed at 12am, and I woke up a thousand times in my sleep. I was in bed for 14 hours and I felt like I didn't sleep at all. Ya, I got out of bed at 2pm today. So what. Felt like shit. I stayed awake the entire day, and now I can't get to sleep.

Some reasons I've come up with for my inability to fall asleep:
1. I've been drinking way too much coca-cola these days.
2. Must be the teh-peng I drank at supper.
3. A change in the environment: Now I'm sleeping alone cuz my bro isn't around.
4. I wake up too late everyday.
5. I can't get my mind to go blank.

I can imagine JY going, "I told you already."

I really have no reason to stay up late. Ok, next week onwards, I'm going to sleep healthy. Try.

Hypnotize me.
