had a mini-outing with some of the orientation councillors at marina south today. first we went kite flying cuz hue won was super enthusiastic about it. i almost didn't go for kite flying but i'm sure glad i did. the last time i flew a kite was when i was in pri sch. it was really nice to watch hue won and shao kai trying to launch the kites. hue won was like a natural. she got the kite up high in juz a while. the other kite must be cursed or sth cuz it juz can't be launched. but after quite some time, wencong managed to launch the other kite and we were all happily fly kites. (this sounds so lame.)
ya and so we flew kites, till the string exhausted. 200 yards worth of string per kite. proceeded to tie the strings to some tiny trees and juz left the kite to soar on its own. juli was worried that the trees will get uprooted, and that was pretty amusing. then we decided we should juz leave the kites alone while we head to this lousy place called chong pang for steamboat. shd've eaten at jen fa huo seafood instead. the food wasn't fantastic. and i didn't eat my fill. but it's the company that counts.
we went to check out if the kites were still flying after dinner, and they were!! it was difficult to spot the 2 kites in the dark sky but well, we did la. =) so exciting.
bowling after dinner was quite fun. i didn't wanna bowl initially but i got persuaded. turned out i kinda enjoyed the game.
oh and i left marina with the blk A peeps, the kites were still flying =) hope the rest of the councillors from the other blks remembered to bring the kites back to hall so that we can try flying them on blk B's rooftop some day =)
councillors rock man.
too bad the blk commies had to rush back for meeting. or else could've hung around longer hitting pins.
i seriously haven't enjoyed myself that much in a long time.
