Inter-Blk Games aka IBG begun last thursday. IBG started off with the track event, which was super exciting cuz the runners were fast. my blk was pretty good, tho we didn't get first for any track event, but we had really good runners. i ran for the 4x100m females relay, and we got 4th. reason being i was IN that relay... hahahaha.
the new blk comm 04/05 was elected into office on friday. i'm the only blk commie in blk comm 03/04 that didn't step down. i got promoted. i'm looking fwd to working with lena, who is the blk head and the rest of the new blk comm members, including laggist (lounge ic).
anyway, back to IBG. saturday - played touch rugby and a lil bit of soccer. touch was fun! blk A spirit was way up high during the touch. our guys got 2nd! not sure about the girls, maybe we got 4th. but all of us really enjoyed ourselves even tho we were all being roasted in the morning and afternoon sun. soccer was on after touch, and we roasted ourselves further. the acers girls played well, and we put up a good fight with the other blks. i'm very proud to tell my blog readers that blk A soccer guys r the champs!!! woohoooo... it's the first gold for blk A this year!
woke up early today for volleyball IBG. the weather didn't look too good. there were dark clouds and i thought it would rain. but it didn't. so the game went on as planned. the vb girls had our first match with blk B. we beat them by a lot of pts and we won both sets. next we faced blk C which i felt was the strongest competitor blk cuz most of the team were made up of IHG (Inter-Hall Games) players. we lost both sets to blk C, but the points were all v close. wasn't upset, cuz losing to a good blk has nothing to be upset about. enjoyed the game with blk C totally.
well, we managed to get into the finals and met with blk C again. we lost the first set with v close scores. we won the next set by a bit too. the 3rd set was very stressful for all the acer girls cuz blk C was leading the the set at first. but we managed to overtake them and finally won them with a score of 15-13 at the 3rd set. i was so exhilarated.. i cried. i really didn't expect to win. the stress was on me and the rest of the players on the court. i did the last 3 services to reach 15 pts. thank goodness for the luck. 2nd gold for blk A!!!!
the guys did well. beat blk C and went into the finals to meet blk E. blk E were juz too strong to beat. so we're 2nd. which is a very good feat =)
volleyball rules. juz that playing in the hot sun really sucked. i'm very burnt. everytime i smile or try to make a funny face, my face will hurt. yea, i look pretty african now. but it was worth it man! gold for girls volleyball!! and i thot all the games that i take part in will nv get first cuz i'm in it. but this proved me wrong. as long as the players give their best, with good team spirit and communication, there'll be a gd chance for that gold.
oh i am very thankful to all the acer supporters who went down faithfully for every single game since thursday. couldn't have done it w/o them. esp the water boys and girls who will always be there to pass us iced cold water during half time and rest time. they were always cheering for the players whether we win or lose. u know who u guys r. u rock =)
i'm goddam happy i can't even describe how happy i am. juz really goddam happy =)
